Headteachers Message
Welcome to Glynne Primary School. I hope that by exploring this
website you will learn more about the life and work of our
school.
Many
children begin their school life by joining us after their third
birthday in FLY (Foundation Learning Years) which has part time
places for children until they reach school age. These are community
places open to children who may move into our own school or on to
other schools.
We are
also able to offer Wrap around Childcare (WACI) to accommodate
working parents which can be used flexibly to complement nursery
provision.
Prior
to entering both nursery and school, information sessions are
organised where staff and parents have the opportunity to meet each
other. These sessions are followed by a programme for children to
visit either nursery or school which we hope will help them to
settle in more easily.
We
hope that during your child’s time at nursery or school, you, as
parents will become involved in your child’s education. Should you
have any concerns about your child, the class teacher or I will
always be willing to discuss these with you.
Our
school has a warm, vibrant atmosphere where purposeful learning
takes place. The teaching and support staff are enthusiastic, hard
working and caring. We aim to provide a quality education for your
child. We hope that you will work in partnership with us towards
this.
We are
very fortunate to have substantial school grounds with a large
playing field, playgrounds, quiet areas and gardens, and an
environmental area with a pond. Our facilities include two library
areas, an ICT suite and kitchen, two large halls and a separate
dining room.
If you
would like to find out more about the school. I would be pleased to
see you at a mutually convenient time and show you around school and
nursery.
Yours
sincerely
S.
